My approach to teaching photography is both theoretical and practical, with an emphasis on creativity.

During the lesson, you'll spend roughly half an hour on theory and the remaining time putting it into practice and unleashing your creative eye.

Weather permitting, we'll take a photo walk, or go to an indoor location depending on the lesson's objectives and the day's weather.

Some of the popular locations you might visit on your digital photography for beginners’ course include the V&A, Natural History Museum, Hyde Park, Holland Park, or Notting Hill.

What you will learn

·What is the difference between RAW and JPEG formats?

·What is aperture and how to use f-stops? 

·What do different shutter speeds do?

·How to take control of what’s in focus in your images using focus points.

·Learn how to read the camera light meter and get perfect exposure.

Balancing the Technical with the Creative in Photography

Although the technical aspect of photography may seem tedious, it's an essential foundation to master.

However, once you have absorbed the technical knowledge, you will have the opportunity to practice on your own outside of the course.

For the remainder of the course, we will venture out and take actual photographs, starting with your phone camera.

This approach allows you to explore your creative potential without the added complexity of camera settings.

Once you have become proficient in controlling your camera's manual mode, we'll delve into other concepts such as depth of field, portrait photography with a blurred background, capturing detailed landscapes, and motion photography.

My course will provide a comprehensive experience that will help you develop your skills as a photographer.
